RECOGNITION
As part of one of FCA's core values statements from the strategic plan, the Recogntion, or Awards program, is one of the more important functions of FCA.
Every year, FCA member organizations are honored for their outstanding efforts in a variety of categories. More than just a recognition opportunity, however, the FCA/NIF Awards program is also a valuable teaching tool for member organizations.
We are pleased to announce the launch the FCA Awards Competition website, a new-and-improved way to make our recognition core area easy. You can find the online submission process at http://awards.celect.org.
Award entries for the 2010 Awards Competition may be submitted now through March 1, 2010. Please be advised, you must have paid your annual dues by the deadline to qualify for the awards process.
To login, your username and password have both been preset to your e-mail address. We strongly encourage you to change your password before you begin to submit entries by clicking “Profile” on the right-hand side of the page.
The FCA Awards site has four main navigation tabs:
Welcome – This area provides an overview of the 2010 Annual Awards Competition including the competition guidelines, deadlines, submission specifics and judging information.
Categories – Here you will find a listing of each award in the 2010 competition. Notice how they are grouped into three major categories: Magazine Awards, Communication Awards or Awards of Distinction. Click on any specific award category to view a description of the judging criteria.
Past Winners – This area is still under construction but will soon provide links to winners of past competitions.
Submit – Submit your entries here! For each award category, read the information that explains exactly what to submit. Completely fill out the electronic form and attach your PDF(s). You will be given the option to save your submission as a draft and finish at another time. Important note: Once you hit submit, your entry is final.
There are a few categories that instruct you to mail entries instead of attaching them. In those cases, submit the electronic entry form and mail your entries to the address indicated. Do not mail any entry that requires electronic submission.
On March 2, submitted entries from members who have not paid 2010 FCA membership dues will be disqualified.
